For the Love of Layout

26 May

Layout is definitely one of my strong points when it comes to design. I even had the good fortune to teach courses in Layout and Design at two local community colleges. Give me space and elements and I’ll provide a solution that conveys information and subtly guides the viewer’s eye through the details while never losing site of your brand and its guidelines.

Champagne Audience, Beer Budget, Slammer Timeline

6 Jun

We’ve all been there – make it nice, do it for less, and we need it yesterday. Also, it’s an exclusive event, we’re buying dinner, and we want the decision-makers at the tables (did we mention ‘make it nice?’). Keeping it clean with rich indigo linen, a pass of silver ink, and a stock illustration (nice/less is more/quick for less) landed a reserved seat for this A-list event.

Project: Straight to the Green – A Country Club Wedding

13 Jun

A Country Club setting, a bride’s classic style and a groom’s disdain for anything patterned determined the use of an understated green for this five piece invitation suite.

Project: Viva la Vivid!

6 Jun

The bride’s Latin heritage influenced the vibrant color palette used for this invitation suite. I admit I thought I was hearing things when she announced she wanted to use red, magenta and bright orange together. I love that it pushed my comfort zone and we were both ecstatic with the result. Berries were a prominent feature in the flower arrangements and event décor.

A Czech and an Architect Walk Into a Bar…

2 Jun

…on St. Patrick’s Day and end up married three years later. This custom invite reflects the fall wedding setting while the typefaces, sleek lines and botanical component nod to the bride and groom’s contrasting yet complementary styles and backgrounds.
