Weekend Wanderings :: Mt. Hood :: House of Stories (Two)

As with yesterday’s post, I was once again smitten with an abandoned cabin. What stories did it hold? Who had left an entire shelf of board games and jigsaw puzzles knowing they’d never again be used? Did they know? How were there curtains and new steps without an occupant to climb them? Could this house with its padlocked door and lead glass windows be resuscitated? Are there more stories in its future?

Thank you! I think I need to search for more of these little spots up on our lovely Mt. Hood.

Both those cabins are only about 30 min from Portland. We’ll go for sure if you visit! I’m sure there are many others too.
