Project: Dr. Suess Goes to Turkey

21 Jun

Okay, I have no idea if that actually happened. I just so happened to go there last fall. Also last year and the year before? My self-imposed Send-More-Nice-Things-in-the-Mail project. Think about it – when was the last time you received something nice in the mail? Something handmade? Something with a personal message inside? Regardless of when it was, it’s not often enough, I bet. So every few months I designed up some cards, printed, trimmed, glued, wrote in and addressed them. I coordinated card stock, postage stamps, envelopes and ink.

This wise quote and vacation photo summed up the year for me and hopefully for many of its recipients (my amazing family and friends!).

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” –Dr. Suess
